Pedri and Ferran Surprise Fans With Their Dream Signing Choice

Barcelona midfielder Pedri made his long-awaited return from injury last weekend, featuring in the victory over Levante after more than a month on the sidelines. The 23-year-old’s comeback comes at a crucial stage of the season, with Barcelona still competing on multiple fronts.

Speaking earlier this week on Spanish television show El Hormiguero, Pedri provided an update on his recovery and current condition.

“At the moment I’m fine. I don’t feel pain, I don’t feel anything. I’ve already had the first minutes and I’m looking forward to getting continuity,” he said.

His return is a major boost for Hansi Flick’s side as they continue their push in La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

Ferran Torres confident in Barcelona’s title ambitions

During the same appearance, Ferran Torres was asked about Barcelona’s season so far. The Catalan side currently sit narrowly ahead of Real Madrid in the league table and remain active in European and domestic competitions.

Ferran emphasised the team’s belief and focus despite a demanding schedule.

“In the end there are so many games and so many competitions that we almost don’t have time to think about what competition we are playing in, but we have a lot of confidence in ourselves. We believe that we are going to win everything in our hands as long as we are still alive,” he explained.

Barcelona Players Reveal the Superstar They’d Take From Their Rivals

Pedri and Ferran pick Kylian Mbappe

In a lighter moment, host Pablo Motos asked the Barcelona duo which Real Madrid player they would most like to see join them at Camp Nou.

Both Pedri and Ferran quickly responded with the same name: Kylian Mbappe.

The French forward has been one of Madrid’s standout performers and is widely regarded as one of the best players in world football, making him an obvious choice when discussing elite-level additions.

Friendship and dressing room humour

The interview also offered insight into the friendship between Pedri and Ferran. Pedri joked about his teammate’s competitive nature, describing him as someone who does not take losing lightly.

“He can be joking all morning and all afternoon, but if you play a joke on him and he loses, he gets angry,” Pedri said, adding that despite this, Ferran is “a good person.”

The exchange highlighted the strong bond within Barcelona’s dressing room as they approach a decisive phase of the campaign.

MZ opinion

Choosing Mbappe is hardly surprising. Even rivals recognise elite talent when they see it. What matters more for Barcelona, however, is maintaining consistency and depth as they enter the most decisive stretch of the season.
