Rodrygo Goes may be living his final moments as a Real Madrid player. Despite once being hailed as one of the cornerstones of the club’s attack, the Brazilian winger’s form has dropped significantly — and now Arsenal are ready to break the bank for him.
According to recent reports, the Premier League side are preparing a €90 million+ offer for the 24-year-old. It’s an amount that Real Madrid simply can’t ignore, especially with the Club World Cup currently delaying any transfer decisions.
Arsenal Pushing Hard for Rodrygo
After falling short in multiple competitions last season, Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his squad with world-class reinforcements. Rodrygo is seen as a top target, and Arsenal are willing to wait until August to finalize the deal — after the Club World Cup concludes and Xabi Alonso makes a final decision on the Brazilian’s future.
Despite interest from Manchester City in the past, Arsenal are now the front-runners, ready to offer Rodrygo a new challenge and guaranteed minutes in a title-chasing project.

A Decline in Performance
Rodrygo’s decline this season has been noticeable. Despite scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 53 matches, he has been outshined by Vinicius Jr. and new arrival Kylian Mbappé.
Once vital in Real Madrid’s 15th Champions League triumph, his current role has diminished. Even Xabi Alonso, who was expected to offer him a fresh start, has shown limited trust, as seen by Rodrygo’s reduced minutes in the Club World Cup.
Time for a Change?
The departure seems like a win-win scenario. Real Madrid would secure a major financial boost — potentially exceeding €90 million — while Rodrygo would get a new environment to reignite his career.
Nothing is official yet, but if things progress as expected, Rodrygo could become the club’s biggest summer sale. The player himself is reportedly open to a move where he can start consistently, and Arsenal are offering just that.

Rodrygo has always been a favorite of mine, especially during those clutch Champions League nights. But football is about form, fit, and timing. If Alonso doesn’t see him as a starter and Arsenal are offering serious money, this might be the best move for both parties. He deserves to shine — even if it’s away from Madrid.
